The Design
: Engineers
spent endless hours using LEAP simulation software
to get every aspect of this series to it’s maximum
output.
•
Port Area :
This allows the air speed in the port to be
reduced and results in the following :
1. No audible port noise of any kind
on musical material even at very high SPL.
2. Linear port operation at very high
SPL level (the large mouth will allow the port to
work like a ported box, and allow it not to close
up acoustically. When a port closes up acoustically
the box will act like a sealed box and the port becomes
totally non-linear.
3. The large port mouth also eliminates
port power compression.
•
Port Length :
Extended port lengths allow for low port tuning.
This results in the following :
1. Higher loudspeaker
mechanical power handling.
2. Lower deep bass
performance.
