Last week, we asked our Facebook fans what’s the hardest thing to understand in car audio. We had some pretty funny and interesting responses mixed in.
Last week, we were in India checking out their Auto Expo 2012 exhibition. About 500, 000 people showed up! Yeah, luxury cars are fast becoming a big deal there and so is their car audio industry. We were there to check out JBL, JVC and a few others. Mostly, though, we were pleasantly surprised at how much their car audio enthusiasts have taken it to the next level. If you’ve got skills and have decided to make your own speaker enclosure, then more power to you. It’s not an easy thing to do as we’ve mentioned before, when deciding to make your own or buy a subwoofer enclosure.
To help you out, we found a terrific speaker enclosure calculator. Everything has to be perfect when building your speaker box and using this tool should prevent measurement mistakes with volume or anything else.
With 2011 coming to a close, it’s time to look ahead. We found a good read on upcoming trends that should be expected for 2012. Smartphones should soon be commonplace along side your car stereo and bluetooth technology should also play a bigger role. Pandora should also participate more with audio streaming, working with several vendors already.
